Heat Exchanger

  • Chilled Water Coil

Chilled water is used as coolant inside tubes for the chilled water coil. The chilled water coils dehumidifies the moist air that flows over the face area of the heat exchanger. To maintain higher rate of heat transfer, air and water normally follows as counter flow arrangement.

  • Steam Coil

Latent heat of condensation of steam is utilized by steam heating coil to heat the outside and recirculating air. Heat is rejected to air when the steam and air comes in contact. Elite Precision Components Sdn Bhd’s steam coils are designed to minimize the water hammering effect and maximize the heat transfer effect.

  • Condenser Coil

Condenser is a major system component of a refrigeration system. Condenser coils uses air blown through the face area of heat exchanger to extract heat from refrigeration flowing in tubes. Subcooling region is added to condenser coil to ensure the heat is removed adequately before leaving the condenser.

  • DX / Evaporator Coils

In a DX coil, heat is absorbed by refrigeration in order to cool and dehumidify the air flown through the heat exchanger. In general, refrigerant is fed through distributor first in order to distribute the refrigerant evenly to the circuits to maximize the heat transfer rate.

  • Hot Water/ Booster Coils

A hot water coil is similar compared to chilled water coil, the only difference is hot water is used as the medium inside the tubes. Hot water coils are used to heat up the air passing through the heat exchanger and they generally comes within the range of 1 row – 2 row.

  • Tube In Tube Condenser

Water cooled condenser is used to remove heat from refrigerant. Water source is usually from the cooling tower recirculating water or lake water if the HVAC unit is near the natural water source. Water flows inside the copper tube while refrigerant flows in between the steel pipe and the copper tube in a counter flow arrangement.
